Cancellation and Refund Policies

If the participant minimum is not met 48 hours before a program, the program will be cancelled and all participants will be contacted. Programs cancelled by Cantigny Park will be fully refunded or you may transfer the fees to another class within the calendar year.

If you are unable to attend the program for which you registered, please call the registrar at least 48 hours prior to the class at 630.260.8162. If you provide 48 hours notice, you may transfer program fees to another class within the calendar year, or receive a refund. Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior are not transferable or refundable. Refunds for payments by credit/debit card or check will be made in the form of the original payment. Payment made in cash will be refunded by check. Please allow up to two weeks for refunds to be processed.

**Exceptions may apply! Individual programs or areas may have a separate cancellation policy for specific events. These policies will be conveyed to registered participants.

Weather Contingency Policy

Most outdoor programs are held rain or shine. A rain shower may not warrant cancellation, but as safety is our first priority, severe weather, including lightning, may result in program cancellation. Cancellations will not occur any sooner than 4 hours before the event, as inclement weather often quickly passes. To check the status of a class during inclement weather, please call 630.260.8207, no sooner than 4 hours prior to the program. Programs cancelled by Cantigny Park, due to weather, will be fully refunded. If you personally choose not to attend a program due to weather, but the program is still being held, you will not receive a refund.

Non-Registered Participant/Sibling Policy

For all programs requiring registration, walk-ins will not be accommodated due to staffing requirements and supply needs. In order to ensure that our classes maintain the quality and educational purpose that our families have come to expect, it is necessary for us to limit the number of children in our programs. For children’s programs which require registration, only those children who are registered (plus their adult caregiver, if appropriate) may attend. Non-registered siblings may not attend the program. (Non-mobile infants in carriers or strollers are welcome.)

Parking Fees

We do not charge a parking fee for most paid classes and the fee is waived for some free programs as well. Please be aware that an event you have registered for may require a parking fee at the gate.
